Stationary Heaven

How good is stationary?
(That was meant to be rhetorical.)
I have this little pang of excitment everytime I have new and exciting ways of colour coding, sorting and filing.
Using a new pen....well, there's nothing like it and highlighting - don't even get me started!!
It's better than shopping for confectionary, the goodies are way better!
Actually I used get confused between confectionary and stationary - let's face it they do sound the same.....

Just so long as you don't reverse the roles they are used for.....

Ok, bec, ur really losing it now. I mean, some people tend to eat their stationary but they're just queer and that's where the similarity ends. Plus, u've stooped very low if ur getting excited about high-lighters. My guess is that now u have a blog u feel as though u ought to write something and this is all u could come up with. Pity...

Hey, i deliberately don't have a blog cos i'm not a sheep just following all the other mindless sheep down the cliff of electronic self degradation. After all, i'm not the one who adores strawberry coloured pencils!

"Hey, what's wrong with getting excited about highlighters!?"

Where to begin.... they are inanimate objects incapable of actually giving any feelings unless of course you count the sensation of getting high off sniffing them??....

"And stationary to the fact?"
...Stationary or stationery? grammar nazi incoming....

"I'm a highlighter fanatic! I've always colour coded my notes, highlighted my textbooks and notes and messages etc. I LOVE HIGHLIGHTERS!"

I really am just stumped here.... really there is nothing you can say to this.... well except your crazy.

"So don't attack the blog, for you attack all bloggers henceforth!"

Anon was wrong to call it .....
"sheep just following all the other mindless sheep down the cliff of electronic self degradation"....
Mainly due to the fact that it is generally lemmings who do this rather than sheep. I personally have never seen the need for a blog, i just wander round others writing inane and sometimes silly replies.

"inane and sometimes silly replies"???
hmm... resisting urge to type nasty insult concerning this statement...

hope you are going OK little bec :P
happy christmas

See the difference between getting excited over a car or a game or a girl or just about anything other than stationery is that its fun!!!!

Compare this to getting a highlighter.... there really is only one legitimate use for a highlighter and thats sticking it up ones nose and....errr I mean highlighting things in an otherwise boring document... not so much fun.

There was a challenge???? Did it involves seeing how much stationery one could place up ones nose....

on a side note what is so special about the word "ones" and "nose"

Can I just clarify - getting excited about sataionery is not just about the object in itself, although nice bright colours on white paper are very exciting.
It is about what it stands for - organisation (or the attempt at looking organised).
One highlighter means a wealth of highly organised paperwork and having organised paperwork means less time spent on sorting through rubbish and more time to party - soemthing extremely worthy of excitment. So in conclusion everything is related and one piece of stationery symbolises many different things, one of which is free time.
Now if you can stop going on about stationery I might be able to start the TC!

but stationary (sic) is just so much fun and so exciting....

Episode one of the TC... How I got over my addiction to stationary....

Wow... (14 comments) and I thought you were really popular!! Little did I know it was just three people writing to themselves!? Then again Bec... you ARE popular - and so you should be! ;-)
I'm making a re-entry into blogland (so to speak) having just re-connected my laptop...
Driving to Perth tomorrow.

Don't go moving! ;-)

(or changing for that matter!)
