Walking home with that person you barely know.
Walking down the street of dreams......
Did it hold so much promise in the night,
Full of people and full of light?
But in the light of day
In it's stink and decay
It causes you to wonder...
You slip unknowing between poetry and prose
This street of dreams
This street of weeds
Full of those resolutions.....
How many fell from grace;
Made a fatal mistake?
Breaking the pact that held them tight and safe
